Are you Steve Horvath? Claim this pageGeneticist and biostatistician, formerly professor at UCLA and now a principal investigator at Altos Labs, and co-founder of the nonprofit Clock Foundation. He created the epigenetic clock — the most widely used molecular measure of biological age.
In 2013 he built a multi-tissue age estimator from DNA methylation at a few hundred CpG sites that predicts biological age across nearly all human tissues; later work produced 'GrimAge' and pan-mammalian clocks that estimate age and lifespan across species. These clocks are now a standard readout for testing whether an intervention actually slows or reverses aging.
If you can measure aging, you can manage it — a reliable molecular clock turns 'anti-aging' from anecdote into a measurable, testable endpoint, and the same epigenetic machinery may itself be a lever on aging.
