The rules of the
house, in plain English.

EOD (“EOD,” “we,” “our”) is a publication and online community operated by EOD. By using the site at eod.example.com and any associated services (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service, that's the deal.

Most of the Service is readable without an account. To submit finds, comment, vote, verify, or RSVP, you need to create an account using a valid email address.

You are responsible for what happens under your account. Don't share login links, don't impersonate other people, don't create multiple accounts to evade moderation. We may suspend or terminate an account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms.

When you submit a find, a comment, a verification note, or any other content (“User Content”), you keep ownership of it. You grant EOD a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, edit, reformat, translate, and distribute your User Content as part of operating and promoting the Service. This license continues for the duration we're still publishing the content, including after you delete your account, so that historical issues of our newsletter and archived find pages remain coherent.

You represent that you own or have the right to submit your User Content, that it doesn't infringe anyone's rights, and that it's accurate to the best of your knowledge. You can't submit content that's defamatory, harassing, deceptive, unlawful, medically dangerous, or that includes hidden affiliate codes you haven't disclosed.

We may edit your submissions for clarity, length, accuracy, or formatting before publishing. We may reject submissions for any reason. Rejection isn't personal, it usually means the submission didn't clear our editorial bar for evidence, voice, or relevance.

You agree not to:

• Submit spam, undisclosed affiliate links, or paid placements.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise harvest content from the Service except as permitted by our robots.txt.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to bypass the security of the Service.
• Use the Service to send unsolicited marketing to other members.
• Submit content that promotes products you know to be unsafe, illegal, or fraudulent.
• Submit medical, dietary, or psychological advice intended to substitute for professional care.
• Impersonate another person, brand, or organization.

We decide what to publish, what to feature, and what to reject. Those decisions are final. We may use both human editors and AI tools (an evidence-pass model that drafts verdicts and resolves citations) as part of the review process. The presence of an AI Evidence Panel next to a find does not constitute medical, financial, or professional advice, see Section 7.

We don't accept payment to publish, feature, or rank a find. Our full disclosure policy is on the disclosure page.

EOD offers a paid “Insider” membership tier, billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Pricing is shown at checkout. We may change pricing for future billing cycles with at least 30 days' notice; your current cycle's price is locked in.

You can cancel anytime through the customer portal linked from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. We don't offer pro-rated refunds for partial months. If you believe you were billed in error, email hello@instrumentcapital.com and we'll make it right.

EOD publishes opinions, summaries of research, and member experiences about supplements, services, protocols, products, and places that some people find helpful in the hours after work. We are not physicians, dietitians, therapists, or pharmacists. Nothing on EOD is medical, mental-health, nutritional, or professional advice.

Before changing your supplement regimen, exercise routine, sleep protocol, or medication, consult a qualified healthcare provider, especially if you're pregnant, nursing, under 18, taking prescription medication, or managing a medical condition. The Evidence Panel grades the published research; it doesn't consider your individual situation.

You assume full responsibility for any actions you take based on content from EOD. We disclaim liability for outcomes resulting from following or relying on any information on the Service.

The Service contains links to third-party websites, products, and services that we don't control. We're not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of those third parties. Many of those links are affiliate links, see the disclosure page.

When you buy something from a merchant we link to, your transaction is with that merchant, not with us. Shipping, returns, warranties, billing disputes, and product-quality issues are between you and the merchant.

The Service's software, design, original editorial content, curated lists, evidence summaries, and brand marks are owned by EOD and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link back. You may not republish, mirror, or build derivative products on top of our content at scale without written permission.

If you believe content on EOD infringes your copyright, send a written notice to hello@instrumentcapital.com that includes: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the allegedly infringing material with a URL, your contact info, a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you're authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder, and your physical or electronic signature.

You can stop using the Service anytime and delete your account from the dashboard. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we shut down the Service. Sections that should reasonably survive termination (licensing of your User Content, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute resolution) will survive.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT EVIDENCE CLAIMS WILL ALWAYS BE CORRECT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EOD WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EOD and its officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflicts-of-law principles. For any dispute that can't be resolved by writing to hello@instrumentcapital.com, you agree to resolve it in the state or federal courts located in the State of New York, and you submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

We may revise these Terms over time. If a revision materially reduces your rights, we'll notify active members by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
