Are you Michael Pollan? Claim this pageJournalist and author whose books — The Omnivore's Dilemma, In Defense of Food, Food Rules, and Cooked — reshaped how a generation thinks about where food comes from and how to eat. His seven-word maxim, 'Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants,' became a defining rule of modern eating.
Simple, durable food rules rather than a nutrient regimen: eat real, minimally processed food; keep portions modest; make plants the majority of the plate; avoid products with long ingredient lists or health claims on the package; shop the edges of the store; and cook at home. He calls the reductive focus on isolated nutrients 'nutritionism' and rejects it.
Eat food, not nutrients: resist the industrial food system and the science that chops eating into single compounds, and return to whole, well-grown food and the cultural traditions around it.
