No large RCTs demonstrate that liposomal formulation improves clinical outcomes (infection rates, recovery time, mortality) compared to standard vitamin C or placebo. Bioavailability studies are small (typically n<30) and often funded by supplement manufacturers. Standard vitamin C at high doses already achieves substantial plasma saturation, so the practical advantage of liposomal delivery for most people is unclear. Absorption studies measure peak levels, not tissue accumulation or functional benefit.
